I released jUploadr 0.8 today. It’s really getting solid, and there are improvements over 0.7 across the board. I added a ton of features, fixed all the open bugs, and improved the usability.
It’s a spectacularly solid release, and eclipses the official uploader’s feature set. I finally got to see the official flickr uploader in action and was quite underwhelmed. jUploadr allows you much more flexibility in setting tags and descriptions, as well as allowing you to add photos to existing sets.
Anyway, go grab it while it’s hot.

Howdy,
Not sure if this is the best area for this Q but I figure I’ll get some direction in the least! So I just started using jUploadr for my Zooomr account and LOVE the tool so far! However, I had the problem of having the JAVA_HOME path not being set. I set that in the cmd prompt and all things worked fine. HOWEVER, after I close the cmd prompt, the JAVA_HOME path disappears and I have to reset it each time I want to run jUploadr. I am just wondering how I can save that line so I don’t have to do it each time as this is very inconvenient!
Thanks and keep up the excellent work!!

Dana,
The information on how to permanently set up JAVA_HOME is in the jUploadr FAQ. It basically links to a Microsoft article that tells you how to set up environment variables. Hope that helps.

Hi, just one suggestion about a feature: how about a button to auto-login into flickr? in case you want some more modifying for example.
oh, anoter feature: how about saving sessions? for example put some pictures, close it, open it later in the night and continue.
excellent excellent program!!!

That might work, The features you request should be pretty easy to implement. Why don’t you add them as feature requests on juploadr’s sourceforge page?
Thanks for the good words.
